efore on this Bathroom Makeover is SOOO BAD!
Except for adding a shower to the bathtub and changing out the faucet, this small bathroom was the original 1964 small bathroom.
And when I say small, I mean tiny for a full. The only full bathroom smaller would be our master bathroom, lol. That’s the next project!

Floors and Wall for this Small Bathroom Space
Choosing a large rectangular dark gray ceramic tile on the floor, it has almost a slate look and feel. The darker shade grounded the room and all of the light colors. M
The tile surround in the shower really draws your eye into the small bathroom with the long strips of “marble” porcelain tiles and coordinating charcoal grout. It brightens the room, demands your attention, and again makes clean up a breeze!
We kept the walls light since there is no natural light in this tiny bathroom and painted them Sherwin Williams Grayish. It is very light with just a hint of warm gray.
Storage is KEY for Tiny Bathrooms
We needed some extra storage that was open but not cluttered.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE these reclaimed wood shelves! They are very sturdy and modern yet rustic.
I found the perfect baskets for storage at TJ Maxx and added a couple on the shelf under the vanity as well.
Really wanting a wooden towel ladder like this one, but between my husband not going for the idea and then envisioning the littles trying to scale it, I changed my mind and went for some wall hooks instead. Found what I wanted at the At Home store along with some fun modern, farmhouse vibe wall art.
Light up this Room
To add as much light as possible, we replaced our vent light with another vent light that had a switch for heat as well. Then we added a light over the vanity with clear glass and a swing arm. LOVE IT.
The original mirrored medicine cabinet that I ordered didn’t work out because of a surprise venting pipe that we found so I used a flat plate mirror instead. It still gives that modern look with a little something special.
This vanity is a perfect fit for the small sbathroom. It gave us more floor space because of the smaller scale and just the right amount of storage.
Still on my To-Do List
