Leave it to me to wait until the very last minute to post my reveal for the One Room Challenge. And I’m sure I will be coming back here to add more information as I rush to finish!
I’m so excited to be able to relax in my front yard and hang out with friends. I’ve always wanted a front porch with a swing and we just didn’t have it.
I had so many ups and downs and lots of Plan D projects. In the end, it may not be perfect but I can say I designed and built every part of this project!
Before we started outside…
And the AFTER!
We of course will be adding more over time and hoping our plants fill in and thrive.
I painted up an old planter and filled with mosquito-repelling plants. I will be adding more pots around this space to hopefully fend off more of the little boogers!
I found a good-sized heavy planter to use as the base of this storage table to throw pillows in and keep dry.
I just love looking up at this design as well as the shadow it casts. ❤️
I wanted some kind of design underfoot as well so I painted these pavers with porch paint for some pattern.
The Porch Before…
The Porch AFTER (almost).
We had new doors and porch lights installed before I painted an address sign, tiled the porch, and built these plant pedestals to make the porch stand out more.
Built and hung the swings as well as sewing these pink flamingo pillows that I’m totally in love with and cushions.
Make it Shine!
We have the darkest, unlit neighborhood and we knew we needed more light to not only be able to safely walk at night but to be able to enjoy the space for a longer period of time.
I think the lights definitely stand out!
I’m so thankful to be able to participate in this challenge as well as the community of inspiring designers. If you haven’t checked them out yet, you should right now!
I promise I will share more plans and details for those that have been asking so stay tuned!
